Edward T and Deanna's Excellent Adventure | Part II

Edward T and Deanna Bradford's excellent adventure continues!

Purely by surprise, they find out they each had a dream about each other - seriously? Seriously! (Get your mind out of the gutter, not that kind of dream). Before that, they discuss faults and bitterness, something ETM knows nothing of. Right.

They also discuss body piercings; turns out Mr. Critical on this show has a piercing - find out where!

Also, ETM fills you in on the now-defunct American Motors Corporation, originators of vehicles like the AMC Pacer.

The AMC Pacer - the car of the future!! Right. What a fine ride.

What does an Offensive Lineman look like?

he blocks for the guy who does carry the ball - so he's gotta be fast!!

Hilary is busy working with her hermaphrodites (for reals!) and dancing the night away, so Deanna Bradford comes of the bench and knocks another one out of the park.

Edward T and Deanna Bradford tell the tale of their "excellent" adventure of going to Dilletante's for hot chocolate and coffee and then getting trapped in Capitol Hill. How well does ETM accept this? Three guesses; the first two don't count...

Cry Baby

Edward T and Hilary are back in Seattle after a trip to Montana, and ETM admits that Seattle has finally driven him to tears, actually crying for the first time in 10 years.

They then proceed to discuss who should be, or could be, asking out whom amongst the genders, and how it gets much different among the lesbian community. Plus a frank discussion of how much money a woman does/should make.

Above: Perfect example of the a woman fawning over ETM's brother, Paul.

And they discuss why Seattle has no working class, and how it impacts interpersonal relationships in the Puget Sound. Hilary, of course, is ok with it, and Edward T, as you can imagine, is not exactly "down" with this.

The now-famous passive-aggressive "Eye-Sore" note from ETM's warm and loving neighbors, left on the windshield of his car anonymously. Gotta love the
oh-so-polite "Please" and "Thank You".
Luv ya too, Seattleites!!

Sister, Sister!

Hilary is off to a Swing-dance conference all weekend, so Edward T calls in a pinch-hitter from the bench and welcomes their very first guest-host, Deanna Bradford! Deanna is the sister of previous guest Danielle Bradford, and the younger sister at that.

This leads Deanna and Edward T to discuss their commonalities as "second-borns", even though they are widely disparate in age, gender, background, education and upbringing. How can this be? Find out!

Also, the kids do another parody, this time tackling that aging 1970's detective (trust us, he was old back then), "Barnaby Jones". Apparently, Mr. Jones is just a tad thrifty...

The Zen of Strip Clubs

Edward T and Hilary go to his brother Matt's wedding and Edward T reluctantly winds up at a strip club after the wedding. What the hell? It's true!

The kids record a special podcast from their hotel room in Billings, MT - at 3:30 am! They discuss getting to a relaxed state of mind - by going to a strip club. How in the world do they get to Zen from a strip club?

It's a circuitous route. Hilary thinks you shouldn't go to the strip club while sober. Duh, except Edward T doesn't drink. So Edward T discusses his feelings of shame about strip clubs from his difficult past and Hilary brings her unique and unusually open-minded perception (or, weird, if you will) to the situation, helping to come around to a new point of view.

They get into some heavy issues in their own inimitable way.

They also discuss western wear shopping. Huh? Find out what they discuss in this special podcast from the big wedding!

Just Say Yes!!

Edward T thinks too many people subscribe to the old Nancy Reagan solution to addiction, "Just Say No." He says forget about it, "Just Say Yes" to new experiences!

Hilary is wiped out and Edward T is beat as well, so the kids just mellow out and have a relaxed conversation.

Edward T's rage is disappearing - could it be gratitude? Nah. They pick up the feminism thread and discuss domestic violence by both sexes.

Edward T saw "Nickleodeon", which combined his two favorite film makers, Peter Bogdonavich and Burt Reynolds!
Hilary invited Edward T to her bowling party, and she always says "YES!" to doing things, and Edward T says this is what others need to be saying when asked to do things!

They discuss going out and Karaoke'ing, then they discuss Horoscopes.

Then the Media Minute from Episode 18 finds its way onto this episode, as the gang talked for way too long previously and it had to bumped back. A special guest appearance on the Media Minute by Danielle Bradford!

Hilary is completely surprised by this and it leads to a discussion about beliefs, religion, getting along with other people and of course, Edward T's dating life - it's all about him after all (what's new?).

(Be patient, may take a few minutes to download)
Time: 53:00

THE MORE, THE MERRIER: HILARY'S EX-WORK SPOUSE, JOHN MORGAN!

Hilary and Edward T welcome John Morgan, Hilary’s Ex-Work Husband into the studio. Rather than find out more about John, Edward T decides he needs to bitch and so it happens again.

Edward T has a theory that morning people are grouchy, and Hilary then declares she is a morning person (?). John disagrees. So does Edward T.

We also find out that Hilary drives like a dude!

Then the group catches up on the holidays: John visited his family, Hilary ate chocolate and got hurt, which spurs discussion of socialized medicine. Edward T worked during the holidays. No wonder he's so grumpy.

He also rants about people who don't pay attention to what he says. What’s new?

It turns out that John doesn't have much love for Facebook; then Edward T tells a story of almost putting his foot in his mouth, stopping himself for the first time, perhaps ever.

Hilary is amazed that it's 2010 already, what the hell?! Then, come to find out, Hilary and Edward T actually agree on something, they both love the film "Blade Runner", which leads John and Edward T to recommend "The Watchmen" to Hilary.

Hilary and Edward T invite their guest, John Morgan - Hilary's work husband - to chime in on Edward T's rants about people and things he feels society has signed off on, but Edward T does not.

Time: 1:02:15

MISANTHROPIC FAMILY VALUES!

Hilary and Edward T have invited another guest to the show to start off 2010, and his name is John Morgan! He's a friend and coworker of Hilary's (and her work husband), and he's the perfect fit between the two of them. A scientist, ala Hilary, but definitely a man's man, ala Edward T.

First, they welcome John and get to know him, but not without talking about "The A-Team" and "Star Trek" first (Edward T later confesses his crush for Lt. Uhura).

So it has already been confirmed that Edward T is a solid misanthrope. This time, he goes into more detail about why he actually likes being a misanthrope and brings up a couple of issues that make him think outside the mainstream.

As usual, Hilary has some disagreements with Edward T, but John chimes in to set the record straight!

Edward T discovers that he thinks just like Stan Smith from "American Dad"; Hilary is tired of the word "douchebag".

Mr T! (from "The A Team, circa 1983).

Edward T's biggest crush: Lt. Uhura from Star Trek! (Nichelle Nichols, circa 1966).
