After listening to Hilary talk about how "exciting" European Futbol is, Edward T attempts to explain to her why American Football is better (which it is). As always with these two, easier said than done.

Hilary continues to tell Edward T how "exciting" European Futbol is, and he's tired of it. So they sit down in front of the tube with an NFL game playing, and ETM attempts to explain why loves football and even more, makes an attempt to explain to Hilary HOW the game is played. Which he quickly realizes is more than a daunting task. But plow forward they do!
As usual, the conversation meanders away from the main topic to relationships in the past. Turns out ETM never dated a cheerleader while playing football in high school (because he never dated anyone at all, really) and Hilary's first boyfriend was football player!! What the hell, man?! Edward T and Hilary discuss a fight they had off the show in which Hilary had some pretty strong words for ETM. How did he react?

Edward T and Hilary slowly meander their way to a topic this time around. ETM has decided that the only way he can deal with Seattle is to imagine he is in the Star Trek episode called "Specter of the Gun", in which no matter what the lads from the U.S.S. Enterprise do, they cannot make anything work for them, and they cannot escape.
They wind up discussing the artistic merits of both William Shatner and Star Trek. Finally, they get around to discussing the big fight they had on the telephone one night. Edward T gave his opinion to Hilary one Friday night when they were both in a bad mood, and she had some choice words for Mr. Martin. How does he react?
And finally, they discuss conflict in general, with Edward T telling Hilary that the way he has discovered to deal calmly with emotional conflicts is to simply take nothing personally. What does she think about all this? Find out!

Hilary and Edward T argue about European Futbol vs American Football. ETM says futbol is dull and boring; Hilary says football is guys slapping each other on the ass.
Hilary attempts to explain to ETM why futbol is so fun and exciting, and in doing so, tells him about getting hit in the head with a soccer ball and her possible concussion. Hilary says she's fine after the kick in the head; ETM is angry that she did not go to the doctor.
Further discussion reveals that Hilary needs a brother and ETM needs a sister, and they have fulfilled those roles for each other. But do they ever get around to discussing the REAL football (American Football)? Find out.
