Our first
3-Way!...conversation. Yes, our first guest!
Meet Deanna Joy! Tech and Traffic Reporting Goddess, Deanna Joy joins tells us how she got her job as a traffic reporter - hint: there's a sleeping man in there somewhere (or is that sleeping with a man?).
After meeting Deanna, we take on more dating and relationship issues, including "laundry lists" and motorcycles, as well as reading about near-break ups from intelligent sources such as the New York Times...and where to find guys, courtesy of the intellectually-heavy Marie Claire magazine.
Then, in the Science Minute, Hilary explains why women need men, plus the chicken and the egg, and trillions of cells!
Also, we find out where the three of us came from (no, it's not hell!):
Books and articles referenced in this episode include:
New York Times article: "Those Aren’t Fighting Words, Dear"
"It's Just Lunch" dating blog: "Women: When you feel like a catch and you don’t want to settle, it’s easy to quickly dismiss each new date"
Marie Claire magazine article: "Where the Guys Are"
Book: "Why You're Still Single" by Evan Marc Katz and Linda Holmes
Enjoy!
Those aren't fighting words....if my ex-husband would have not taken personal my reaction to our children leaving our nest and my emotional reaction to all of it...we would still be married today. Instead, he took it personal, escalated the issue to where he went somewhere else for comfort and understanding (a mutual friend) that ended our 20+year marriage and they are now married and I am single wondering what happened to death do us part.
